Desktop Connector - PDF files Auto lock on ACC when opened via Bluebeam REVU

Hi Autodesk

 

You had PDF file auto locking working on previous versions of Desktop Connector.

Version v16.2.1.2016 is the last version that it works. (And it still works!)

But this is now many version old. 

 

Below is an explanation of how it works with this version.

 

When I click open in any version of Bluebeam RevU, then browse and select a PDF file that is located in my ACC project.

The PDF file is automatically locked on the ACC web interface. It also shows as locked in the Autodesk Docs File explorer interface. 

When I save and close that file, it automatically updates the ACC cloud version and unlocks the file in both interfaces.

 

I have installed and tested this on every single version of Desktop Connector since v16.2.1.2016 and it does not work.

BUT, BUT, BUT when I uninstall my current version of desktop connector and re install v16.2.1.2016 It instantly works again perfectly, no matter which version of Bluebeam I have installed. 

 

The problem is that I want my team to keep this extremely valuable feature, but if we all stay on this version we miss out on all the updates to Desktop Connector since that version.  

 

AUTODESK, Please look into this and copy whatever is making it work for v16.2.1.2016 and implement this in the current versions and all versions after that. 

 

Autodesk, please fix, as the auto locking feature is brilliant and vital.

 

For everyone else that is pulling their hair out.
