Critical Bug? Uploaded files missing / invisible from BIM360 Docs folders

So it seems that BIM360 Docs hides files uploaded to folders.

When more than a certain number of documents are in a folder, any files beyond the "limit" are hidden until you scroll to the bottom of the folder on the web browser.

So if you try to sort files by date (or by any other column for that matter), it will only show the files that aren't hidden.

You can still find the files by searching the folder, if you know what you're looking for.

We discovered this when a contractor we're working with couldn't find the files we'd issued. Luckily we submitted them by other means as well.

There's no indication of how many files are hidden, and there's no indication that when you sort the folder by a column that it's only sorting a subset of the files.

This seems a bit ridiculous for what's being advertised as an enterprise product?

This has been confirmed with the web browser interface; haven't tried the desktop connector yet.

I am not aware of any limitations as per the number of files we upload into a folder, so maybe you could help me test this. 

Roughly, how many files are in your folder? 

When you say " When more than a certain number of documents are in a folder, any files beyond the "limit" are hidden until you scroll to the bottom of the folder on the web browser", does that mean that the files are not actually hidden, but you just need to scroll a bit more (like to load more)?

Have you tried with different browsers? Does that help?

Would estimate the folder contents at a few hundred drawings.

As you mention, it's possible to gradually load in all the drawings by scrolling to the bottom then waiting, and then scrolling to the bottom and then waiting, and then scrolling to the bottom and then waiting... repeat this tens of times depending on the number of drawings in a folder.

The above assumes someone is aware that the folder is over the "limit" (whatever the limit is), and also has the time to spend several minutes each time they load the folder scrolling down the page just so they can sort by any of the columns.

Browser used is Chrome. Haven't tried other browsers yet.

Thank you for inquiring about this.  We incrementally load the documents when you first navigate to a folder, so that you can start seeing contents while the remaining documents are still loading.  In order to fully display all of the documents in the folder, you need to scroll down to the bottom.  We are looking into options for improving that user experience.

So my understanding of the situation is; that once a folder contains over a certain number of files, some files are not loaded when the folder is opened. There is no notification that they are not loaded, and sorting by the columns will not display (or sort) those files.

The only way to discover if a folder contains too many files (and therefore that some are hidden) is to scroll to the bottom of each folder. If this is not done upon opening every folder, there is a risk you are not seeing the full contents of the folder you are looking at.

Depending on the number of files in a folder, a user may have to "scroll & load" multiple times to see the full contents of a folder, as only a small "extra" subset of files is loaded each time. A user will have to do this every time they open the folder, or they will not see the full contents of a folder.

At the moment, there is no indication how many files can be in a folder before files are hidden.

Is the above correct?
