CAD dwg upload creates many documents per view

Hello,

When uploading AutoCAD .dwg files we get a all of the model and sheet views, this is kind of annoying because we end up searching and deleting unnecessary views. Is there a way to choos which CAD file views to be uploaded or choose to only upload sheet views?

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for your posting. Currently, Docs doesn't have this kind of advanced settings in Upload flow, but we will check if there is any walk-around for your case. An update will be posted here as soon as get more details.

Thanks,

Zijing

Hi @Anonymous,

After investigation, we do not currently have a way to select which sheet to be published.

At this time we recommend uploading a DWG with just the desired sheets for viewing.  This can be done two different ways:

Use the layout tab context menu “Select  All Layouts” optoin to select all the layouts, unselect the layouts to be kept, then use the context menu “Delete” option to delete the selected layouts.  Save the result to new DWG.

Use EXPORTLAYOUT to make a new DWG from a layout.

Thanks,

Zijing
