BIM 360 DOCS - User with View role CAN download

Hi, so... I'm not that used to work with DOCS, mostly with TEAM. But now Im experimenting a bit.

I got a user, which I add a role on folder to ONLY view... and he can even download. 

Is that on purpose?

Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately, Download hasn't been assigned with specific permission at the moment, but it is already on the radar of the product team.

Whoa! While I hadn't tested it, I was under the impression that a Viewer didn't have download abilities. So it sounds as though all roles can download?

If this is true, then this is a serious security concern. So there is no way at all to lock down files from unauthorised download. Viewing is one thing, but downloading is far more serious.

This needs to go right to the top of the list for inclusion.

Totally understood what you mean. Currently in Docs, only upload-only permission doesn't have the ability to download. Due to user's feedback, we are now investigating for the solutions whether we could add view permission, but with controllable download ability. I will keep you posted for the latest update. Thanks.

I'm hoping while this review of permissions is happening that we can also get a true View-only permission. View-only which doesn't allow markup or issue creation.

View-only needs to be just that, view only.
