Docs seems like a great tool. I have been testing it in trial mode and am not seeing or may be not understanding the workflow correctly, (although there is very little documentation on workflow). Some issues I have been running into
When uploaded a revit model and sheets are extracted, the sheets are not hyperlinked. Is this supposed to happen? Is there something that needs to be done to activate hyperlinking?
I am confused on understanding the significance and difference of Plans, Shop Drawings and Project Files. I cannot find documentation that explains this. Please provide.
How are Issues in Docs different that issues in Field? Also what is the difference in Fields Library to Docs? Could Field use Docs for it Library and link Field issues to Docs or visa versa? Seems Autodesk could really help its customers break silos and start connecting its BIM 360 products inspiring true collaboration.
To take this further it would be great if there was a central repository for the model and sheets/drawings that are managed in one location but each of the BIM 360 products, Glue, Field, Layout, Plan (are there going to be more?) and there individual tool sets tap into the central repository. You could also link in the A360 products as a beginning front end solution. Finally Ops would be the final back end solution.
Will there be the ability to select the sheets out of a revit model to publish such as the Collaboration for Revit tool provides?
Guess that is all for now.
Thanks,
