Assign an issue to multiple users

When creating a new issue, you can only assign it to one user.

Actually, this solution is not helpful in our cause. We work with different functions and companies in a project. It would be extremely important to solve this problem.

The solution we have taken on board is to mention the other users once the initial issue has been created. 

this will send them notification and add them to the issue. wont be assigned to the user but gets them in the loop. 

this is not a solution but a work around. it would be ideal to be able to assign to multiple

Totally agree with this suggestion, and quite surprised it doesn't have more votes. This feels like a basic feature for me.
