Permissions and control for the project members

As of now, using BIM360, all of the permissions are in the hands of the project administrators. We are an engineering firm so it's not likely for us to be the host or admin on a project since that roll is typically filled by the architectural firm. It would be nice to have more authority over the permissions and control of our own model rather than having an admin from a different company oversee it, giving them the ability to change it anytime. 

What if the project host/admin set up the project team and permissions like it is currently, but they would have the option to give each project member (or company) control over their own models entirely, removing their own access to the permissions over that file in regards to editing or deleting. 

For example, say the architectural firm has designated an administrator to set up the project team using BIM360. They send out the invites to the project and start setting up the file permissions for each contractor, allowing everyone to view the other projects in the model. Next, the admin makes a selection that transfers the control of permissions to delete or edit files/models to the engineering firm. This makes the engineering firm the only ones in control of anything other than viewing and linking their model.

@Anonymous Thanks for your feedback. Currently, two roles have the ability to control permission -- Project admin and folder controller. The later is the highest permission level to a folder and its subfolders, including assigning permission.

Do you think you issue can be solved by having a controller from your firm to your folders? Please note, you will need to project admin to assign such permission at the first place. And there is no way to remove the admin's permission from any folder.

There is a level of permissions called Folder Control, but there is no such role as "folder controller". The role that is missing is a Team Leader. Every invited team should have a Team Leader in charge of that team permissions and able to add his team members to the global team list of the host's hub and to the project. In general, the hierarchy with account admin and project admin is deeply flawed, but Autodesk is happy with it, playing in their sandboxes, and doesn't want to even consider any changes

Current BIM 360 Admin Hierarchy is deficient, poorly structured, and counterproductive.

With the current system, Account Admin invites another Account Admin, - who decides? Account Admin creates projects, - we have thousands. Account Admin adds other team members, - hundreds of them.  Project Admin can’t create a project, - their direct responsibility. Project Admin can’t add members to Member directory, and can’t add Companies, - they should collect that data (a huge load of data) and communicate it to Account Admin, - waste of time and resources. Project Admin from other Team has access to all other trades folders, - makes no sense, both technically and legally.

To make the system efficient, the following Admin Hierarchy changes should be implemented ASAP.
