Having .mp4 viewer inside BIM360 would be great. Some projects requires recording construction progress and for collaboration and reporting purposes, having this feature in the platform is great. Hope Autodesk will consider this and develop this at soonest.

Hi Autodesk! please add this feature

Streaming video format files (mp4 & avi mainly) is a must. Frequently we generate walkthrough videos for showing to customers while meets. Indeed we use the hosted Revit models to discuss designing with them, using any collaborative tool as Teams can be, and we finish the presentation showing the project from an artistic point of view. It is not very nice for Autodesk that customer sees how we get out of BIM360 to go to a local folder and play the video, or going to a Youtube or Vimeo propietary channel, instead of click and play the video from the folder structure. And for the Doc administration would be very useful to have videos centralized as well.

Hi Autodesk, please consider this capability! Agree with this, especially when we only have skeletal manpower on-site. Some Engineers working at home would request a video recording of the project from the Engineers on duty. This would encourage same productivity of the project members anytime anywhere.

We need to include video review inside BIM 360. Should be playable and can be annotated. To be used in monitoring off site status update due to quarantine and new normal.

hi @penny_yu  What is your timeline for this system enhancement?

A workaround (one of the many!!) is to put your media clip into a PowerPoint and select play automatically. 360

Docs takes PPTx files so you/your client can view this way.

We have started to use tools such as Holobuilder and Openspace for preset tours/360 walkthroughs. BIM360 has partner cards on the Home Page that will allow your clients to view straight from there. Appreciate this is additional costs.

I’ve not tried linking in a YouTube or Vimeo channel through the open URL card. I’d hope this is something that could be done, but suspect there is likely to be some faff on the permissions side.

A simple movie player embedded within

360 can’t be beyond Autodesks ability to help create a positive project experience for our teams/clients
