On BIM360 Docs, its weird to keep auditing what rights/access/permission has been given to whom. Could you please device a facility to extract the folder permission reports from the System. That would make life much better.
I think some type of permission reporting is becoming essential to using BIM 360. Right now there is not a great way to determine what permissions have been specified in Document Management, other than looking at the permission settings for each folder. I would like to see a reporting feature that allows you to view the folder permission settings for all the folders in Document Management and also view the permissions available for individual users, roles, and companies.
It would be very helpful to be able to view the project from the eyes of the user. For example, I (as project or account admin) can set my view status as a specific user on the project and can then preview the folders and permissions of that user. That way disorganized or incorrectly assigned rolls/permissions can be caught at a glance.
It's only been 3.5 years since this has been requested. Is there any movement on this future consideration that is pretty vital to project management? As we have significantly increased our use of the platform, it has become apparent that sometimes mistakes are made with permission assignment, or permissions should be rescinded at a project end, etc. This would be extremely helpful and a huge time saver.
@knr I assumed that a current tool from BIM 360 (ACC). My customer does not want to special solution, they assumed that the tool should provide the feature.
@FuldenYilmaz yeah, this is not part of the standard BIM 360 product. Maybe we need to wait sometime more to get is from Autodesk as a standard feature.

@knrGood that you were able to create a custom solution, but most customers buy ACC expecting it to be usefull out of the box. They don't want to extend it with third party apps, just to be able to check the folder permissions.
We really need this feature. BIM 360 Docs is being implemented more and more in every construction project around the world and we still can't export a permission matrix / table excel file. We need to be able to see in real time a sum up of the persmissions per role / company on BIM 360 Docs ...
