BIM360 NextGen measuring tool

Dear Autodesk Team

In order to use BIM360 efficiently on site, more advanced measuring tools are required. As a starting point, the tools / features from Navisworks would be really good (measure perpendicular, parallel to surface, lock-in settings). Also measuring to pipe axis (centerline) or similar would be necessary, especially for MEP-installations.

I agree.

In addition, it would also be very useful to be able to measure in the open space of a drawing and not just the architectural/engineering elements. Currently the tool can only snap to drawn lines, but it would be great if users (on site) could measure prospective infrastructure/areas/objects etc., e.g. temporary tents that can then be added to the drawing file.

I agree with the initial request. To add to this...It would be nice to save measurements as a redline so they can be part of a markup.

Also agree, and would like to add the ability to measure and dimension diameter and radius, not only distance and angle. This is important for equipment in plant models, like tubes/pipes or flanges...
