Microsoft PowerBI allows us to create very robust reports and dashboards using many data sources. Currently to get BIM360 Field Data we need to either export a dataset to a csv file from within the web UI (a manual process), or use the BIM360F API to pull down data. Problem with this is that there are data that cant be easily retrieved from the API without a lot of preprocessing( breaking the data apart, and normalizing it into tables).
Power BI gives services the ability to create a "content pack" that a PowerBI user can just click, enter in the Autodesk credentials, and the data appears in PowerBI as a bunch of properly formatted dimensions, and measures.
