BIM 360 Docs copy project settings including Attributes

When creating new project in the account admin, I would like to have the opportunity to copy project settings from past projects including created custom attribute drop down lists. Attributes gives us the opportinity to integrate a workflow in BIM 360 Docs were a company is already familiar with. Think about drop down lists with assembly codes etc. these take a long time to produce. It would be a huge timesaver when these attributes are copied to.

It would also be useful if the permissions settings were copied over (i.e. - standard roles used for each folder)

Hi,

May I know if there is any update regarding this?

Thank you.

@joan_allen may we inquire why this was changed to future consideration?  This seems like a large oversight?  It already takes entirely too long to setup new projects in BIM360.  This feature would allow for "metadata" based tagging and file searching to occur with Docs which is exactly what Jacobs is advocating for.  We need users to have a similar experience to what's available in ProjectWise.  You're effectively forcing us to use folders throughout BIM360 Docs.  Instead we have a few attributes, (lookups or text) that need to be applied to all projects and available within the Project Files area for each document within.  Thank you.

There is possible to copy a folder structure from a project you need with it's permission settings. But there is impossible to copy attributes and naming standards. While ISO 19650 naming standard uses a properties, it is becoming a nightmare to do all the setup from scratch when you start a new project.
