BIM 360 Docs - Action upon completion of review Update documents with approval

Can we have the ability to Move a document through the folders from 'Shared to Published' when the document is updated with an approval status.

Currently the option is to copy, this has potential risk associated with the duplication of documents, it would be better if the action was to move the document rather than copy it.

The current alternative to manually move the document though folders is not ideal and has potential for human error.

Yeah - or think about visibility and consumption based on the approval state of the document.

There is now a good review process, and the state can be seen in the attribute ('approved' changed to 'shared' or 'published') by the review, but the duplication into a new folder to be included in a coordination space is quite strange. If we could create coordination states based on approval status - this would be amazing.

Hi @Anonymous thanks for your feedback! As Penny said, this item is on our roadmap. Here I'm following up with you on this to see how you would like to handle such a situation where the same name file has already existed in the targeted folder ("Published" in your example). Right now, if you do manual moval in Docs, it will fail. Is that what you expect? Or you always clear up your "Published" folder before moving approved files?

@randell.matt if I understand you correctly, instead of seeing the option of moving approved documents to a new location, you'd like to see their attributes get updated. Right?

Hi Dong, sorry for the delayed reply, if the document with the same name exists in the destination folder I would like to version up and superseded the existing. One of the main things with this workflow is to maintain the comments etc from document review in shared to published. So the latest version can be published with latest comments.
