I have seen this idea many times now on the forums (links below), but with little response from Autodesk, so I thought I would create a new post, to show that the need is still there.
The ability to decrease permission levels on sub-folders would improve the functionality of the platform a lot from a management perspective. The current workflow is to start on the deepest folder and work upwards with the permission levels.
We are currently in the process of creating our CDE for our new project and will have many folders due to the size of the project, some folders will contain sensitive data, which I believe is common to any project. It would save so much time to be able to set everyone with the same permissions on the top level folder, since most folders will be accessible to most people. And then reduce the permission levels to a "not accessible" state, or remove members permissions from that folder all together, on sensitive folders.
