Hi @tech3design,

BIM 360 Glue is a cloud-based BIM management and collaboration product that connects your entire project team and streamlines BIM project workflows from pre-construction through construction execution. With virtually anywhere, anytime access to the most recent project models and data throughout the project lifecycle, BIM 360 Glue helps you review projects and resolve coordination issues faster, while advancing the construction layout process.

The original question is not answered. What is the difference? It sounds like BIM 360 and BIM 360 glue are the same thing??

What is the difference? and can I use BIM360 team with switchback?

Electrical contractor

I am working in Revit 2016 with linked Arch revit file and Structural Revit file and Piping AutoCAD file and Duct AutoCAD file.

I receive a Navisworks model with everything Pre-applied.

I use Revit 2016 to switch back and it doesn't work because all of the revit files are opened from BIM 360 Team cloud location. IS there are solution to solve this?

Need to switchback for coordination, over 1000 clashes

I have BIM 360 using with a colleague in other city. and we use the same model.

Thank you,

When will this be resolved? I need to get this completed as soon as
possible. Here is a snap shot of my issue. I can not do a switch back with
the reivit located on BIM 360 Team. This is the only way I can coordinate
with my group. Why can't I do this properly. I will need a step by step
approach to solve this issue.
Thank you,

@tech3design

*Moved to the Revit Collaboration forum due to core issue being Revit and BIM 360 Team interoperability. Revit model is up on BIM 360 Team.*

I know it in part works, but it would be nice to have a how to or article, which doesn't force you to dig into the SLOG setting.s

For the record, your answer is not helpful in the least.

Hello,

I am late to this discussion but I am navigating these issues as well. Here is my .2$

My understanding is that BIM 360 is a folder like Dropbox with a viewer. The team can access and deposit to. They can share files.

BIM 360 Glue is a viewer with Clash Detection and can communicate with the design team. It also talks with Revit through clash pin point. (high lights clashes in Revit). It is also able to pull models into Navisworks to create views. These views can have appearance profiles added an pushed back to Glue. This does slow down the processing in Glue.

I have not used the workflow of Glue to Navisworks to Switchback Revit.  Glue to Revit works well.

Hope this helps.
