Bulk edit equipment

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello,

I'm trying to bulk edit my equipment in order to connect them to locations I've created in project admin, but as soon as I select a big amount of equipment, choose edit and click on location, the pop-up with the location selector doesn't show up. Is this some kind of setting, or is there a problem with field?

Thanks for your reply,

Emanuel

I think this must be an error, because I am able to bulk edit the location of all of my equipment. Not that this helps you with your issue, but it is possible to do!

Hello,

And thank you both for participating in our community. My name is Bogdan and I am with Autodesk Technical Support.

I have just tested on my side as well with 20, 40 and 75 equipment items, and it seems to be working as expected.

How many items are you selecting? Could you please share a screen-shot from your project, showing how the Edit window looks? What exactly do you see on your side?

Thank you!

Best regards

Bogdan

Dear Mr. Bogdan,

Thank you for your reply. I've just tested it again and this is what I get after selecting 425 pieces of equipment, clicking the 'edit' button and clicking the 'location' field:

Capture.PNG

So there is a gray overlay on my screen and on top there is a thin line that should probably represent the location editor, but it is not showing up. I already bulck edited a lesser amount of equipment and that works but ... big amount give me this.

Regards,

Emanuel

Thank you for your reply.

Would you have the possibility to add me to your project as a project admin so that we can investigate directly on your account?

I have sent you my email address in a private message.

Thank you!

Best regards,

Bogdan

Hi,

I wanted to let you know that I was able to reproduce the reported behavior and we will need to continue investigating it.

Until we finish the investigation, please continue to edit your equipment items by selecting fewer instances at once.

Thank you,

Best regards,

Bogdan
