ACC API Roadmap

Is there a roadmap somewhere on what API functionality is being added next?

There are two omissions that are killing us right now. If anyone knows workarounds, please let me know.

  •  No POST ability for submittals. Owners often work in their own construction management software (such as eBuilder). A submittal is sent from a subcontractor to the GC for review, then handed off to the design team. The architect sends to the applicable consultant and reviews after. The contractor workflow happens in ACC, but the designer workflow happens in the owner's software. Without the ability to POST, getting info back into submittals from outside software becomes impossible in the API.
  • No POST ability for photos. We're working with a Real-Time Location System (RTLS) that allows us to automatically attach location information to photos taken with a cell phone. We'd like to take the photos in our RTLS app then store them in ACC. Since we don't have that ability, we just store them in Egnyte for now instead.

The next phase involves designing the API, implementing robust security measures, and developing the code to connect the two systems. Rigorous https://routerlogin.uno/ testing is crucial to ensure everything functions as intended. Finally, deploy the API in a secure environment, provide clear documentation, and continuously monitor its performance for future improvements.

To resolve the issue of the ACC API lacking POST functionality for submittals and photos, consider integrating third-party tools or custom middleware. These tools can fill the gap by addressing API limitations and automating data transfer between systems such as eBuilder and your RTLS. For example, middleware could gather photos from your RTLS app and send them to ACC using supported methods, or handle submittals through a different workflow. This approach enables you to maintain efficient operations despite the existing API constraints. For more information on enhancing operations with RTLS, you can visit the link here.
