Scaling mesh emitters resolution

Im creating an explosion using the new Bifrost aero nodes.

My emitter is an expanding mesh from something close to 10cm up to 4m.

My issue is that from the beginning of the sim, it takes ages for it to kick off and once it does its really slow, whereas if I dont scale my emitter and leave as 4m from the start its a lot quicker.

Im assuming it has something to do with the resolution at the smaller scale and then Bifrost trying to adapt as the mesh scales.

Are there tools to help this?

Try setting the resolution mode on the emitter to absolute, this will allow you to directly set the detail size. The difference you experience is probably due to the relative resolution mode. The initially small emitter, results in a small voxels.

Yes I did try that but I got the same result. It maybe the way I added the scaling to the mesh emitter after I attached the solver, so I will try it again from scratch see how I go.

thanks Ill let you know
