DWG TrueView does not plot all objects

I have DWG TruView 2027 installed with the purpose of using it to plot sheets that are created using civil 3d. It works well, only sometimes. It is very fast but some civil 3d labels and such show up only randomly. I have the civil 3d object enabler installed with the correct version. When opening the same drawing in civil 3d, the objects seem to be plotting and showing up in viewports fine but for some reason when changing layouts in truview, they disappear/do not plot, or just do not show up at all.

@Richard_Mehall You'll need to ask your C3D file creator to "export to dwg" the files before you can open them to convert C3D specific to basic autoCAD shapes that are friendly to the free viewer. You can try to grab the C3D Object Enabler that is specific to their year version or higher and install it to upgrade your viewer, it may or may not work, you'll need to find out or sure.

Thanks for your response. How do I use the version 2024 object enabler with the 2027 TruView? I have civil 3D 2024 installed which is what the drawings were originally made for so I am assuming I should have the 2024 object enabler installed also? Correct me if I am wrong. I am the creator of the drawings. I was hoping TruView could be used to plot things quicker which is why I want this to work.

@Richard_Mehall You will need to install the 2027 C3D-OE that match your software as long as it is higher than the C3D version.

DTV is not a panacea sadly, never has been.

Interesting. It's weird because the first time I used it, it plotted so many C3D sheets perfectly and very quickly. Now, the same dwg is missing labels and such in DTV. Thanks for the feedback though. It'd be nice if it worked smoothly.

Hi @pendean

To view the C3D file in DTV, do I better execute ‘export to dwg (EXPORTC3DDRAWING)’, OR I can direct open the C3D file?

2027 DTV + 2027.1 C3D Object Enabler is able show the C3D objects (Feature Line, Alignment, Corridor etc.) which are created in previous C3D versions?

That works if no other option does or you do not have a paid subscription to C3D or AutoCAD.

Many Users find that useful too if and only if they have a paid subscrption. every year version of DTV requires a matching C3D OE, you can find those if you pay for an Autodesk Subscription at your C3D or AutoCAD link here :

https://manage.autodesk.com/products/all

and https://manage.autodesk.com/products/updates (you must select the PLUGINS link to shorten that long list)
