For the Amsterdam Central Station, we have been working at the final design for a large capacity upgrade and a widened passenger-tunnel and bicycle-parking underneath the 15 existing railway tracks. We will share our experience and best practices to make and work with the large Revit model for this project.
The initial model has been created from a combination of existing drawings and pointclouds and is used for the design collaboration between the disciplines Architectural, Structural and MEP.
Key elements will be: How to deal with the large model and incorporate phasing in the model. Why and how to use scripting to be flexible. How to use scripting to assess the complex relation between the track design and the best shape for the platforms. The use of Enscape to support design decisions and involve key stakeholders and finally the use of Cost-X to connect the model to the cost estimate.
