Is there a way to put AutoCAD in offline mode? I am needing to take my laptop to jobsites that have no internet connectivity, as of right now my AutoCAD wont open or run without being connected to Wi-Fi. I am looking on how to make it open and have me be able to detail and open drawings while I'm not connected.

What version and variant of AutoCAD is this?
Which OS?
Is this a standalone license or a network license?

Hello @Anonymous,

Welcome to the community.

An internet connection is required to activate, every 30days you should be connected to the internet at some point to verify your license & use the software. If you signed -in recently there should'nt be a problem unless you do not have administrator rights to (C:\Users\<user>\AppData\ & C:\ProgramData\) or this is a network license.

If it is a network license, you should borrow a license from the server for the day when you have your appointments, you can then return it or wait for it to expire.

Hi Natasha I am relatively new to the Autodesk comunity please forgive me to ask you what is the network license and how it differs from user lisence? And I have another question if you dont mind how can I make an open AutoCAD software offline when I am drawing? Without switching my computer WIFI off? I dont like to draw online as I think there is a more strain to your eyes and body when you do it for long hours. Thanks.
