Maya 2023.2 Does not install Windows 10 or Windows 11

I have attempted on 2 different computers.  One with win 10 and one with win 11.  Both computers will not install the 2023.2 update either from the Autodesk Desktop app or via a manual install from the downloaded installer.

The Desktop app will just sit and spin for 4-5 hours before I give up and the Installer I manually downloaded from Autodesk does absolutely nothing and doesn't even launch.

Desktop App is broken for some users.

Restart your PC(s), ensure you are logged in as a full admin in the OS, ensure ADA is closed/turned off, temporarily turn off your anti-virus and other running apps in the background, empty your log-in's TEMP folder in the OS, ensure your firewall is not set to "protect you" by disrupting the entire process, grab your software from your Accounts page using the BROWSER DOWNLOAD method, keep track of all the file(s) being downloaded, when they are finished, double-click on the first file and start the installation again.

Find and share your installation LOG file if it fails. And post in the correct Installation help forum, this one here https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/installation-licensing/bd-p/24

DO NOT USE DESKTOP APP and DO NOT HAVE IT RUNNING at all during this entire process. You can turn it back on to use after your new software is working well.

I have followed all that. The download from autodesk will extract. But the Setup.exe will not even run.

Where is this?

In Windows File manager, type this in the address bar

%TEMP%

This works for me in Windows10, did you get BOTH files onto your PC in a folder you control?

Can you right-click on the SETUP file, select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR and try again?

Do you have an IT person that can help?

Explore these tips from Microsoft's forums
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/e451d576-c7de-4f94-9c84-275ad828c5b9/setup....

Open a support case with Autodesk if you are on subscription to seek out Autodesk Support's help, they can access your PC and might observe something: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/users-software/support-options/we...

You might need to take your PC to repair shop or hire/ask an IT friend to come over to help too.

I have opened a ticket.  But AD support is horrible.  Takes forever to get them to reply to a ticket.

Managed to get the install working on my Win 11 Laptop.  My Win 10 Desktop, I can extract the install just fine.  But the aotodesk installer never launches.  I can see it in the task manager.  Just sitting there doing nothing.  No CPU. No mem, No disk...  Jus t nothing.
