Desktop app not showing updates

Hello, 

 

I'm having trouble with desktop app, it doesn't show any update to my products. I'm using windows 10 64x and my anti-virus is Kaspersky.

What are your products?
Are you using the say login as you do to get into your accounts page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/all
And does your accounts page show software that is on your PC?

I get updates showing up on one computer but not others. I have floating licenses. I would like to have the same version of Maya on all. I've downloaded the Autodesk_Maya_2017_Update4_x64.exe from the one computer that shows the SP4 update on its Autodesk desktop app but when I try using that to update the other computer it fails. Any Suggestions?

My apps are Revit, Autocad, Civil, and 3DS Max. It shows my apps, but keeps saying that they are all up to date, when they aren't.

The Desktop App is not very well designed: if you want to rely on it alone, you will have to wait for it to eventually catch up with your installed apps and the uploaded updates.

It's best to remove it from your PC and moving forward simply set yourself a 30-60 day calendar reminder to check for updates manually.

thanks for your feedback. can you share a screencapture with us? 

 

Also could you login to Autodesk Account to see if you could see any updates for any of these product. 

Some updates are tied to your contract, if you could see them at Autodesk account, and if you installed using the same Serial number, you should see them in the desktop app.

 

if not, could you sent us your log file(see file attached below), so that we could look into this ?

I had a similar problem when i reinstalled my pc 4 - 5 months back.

I tried to reinstall the desktop app but got problems with the licensing service app.

Unfortunately I had to reinstall my pc again to solve the matter.

 

Have you tried to reinstall the desktop app?

Thanks for your feedback.

 

You are seeing updates on ADA and others not, that means please check that if contract manager may applied any filter for other users.

 

Please try this

  • Exit ADA
  • Stop AdAppMgr Service
  • %Programdata% > Autodesk > Delete the “SDS” folder
  • Restart ADA.

 

Still you have problem, please try this,

Please send me (srinivasarao.potla@autodesk.com)the log files form the machine for which you are not seeing updates, i will investigate and get back to you.

 

Please find the attachment for log file instructions.

Since when your app is becoming like this?

can you try the steps below:

 

  • Exit ADA
  • Stop AdAppMgr Service
  • %Programdata% > Autodesk > Delete the “SDS” folder
  • Restart ADA.

if it doesn't work, could you please share your log by doing the following instruction attached.
