So Desktop App is burdensome and in need of developer that takes pride in their work.
Early on, I tried my darnedest to keep it from installing, but alas this is nearly impossible. Many of the installations install it by default, then you have to go back and uninstall.
So I gave up trying to keep it from installing.
It is a great idea and tool, but it cannot be trusted. I've gone back and forth on it's use.
The Updates icon went away. I exited Desktop App, uninstalled 8.3.0.71 and tried to install 8.4.0.24... but About dialog still says 8.3.0.71.
After thinking I installed 8.4.0.24 the Updates I needed showed themselves as I wanted... I installed a couple of them, but then tried to install the AutoCAD 2020 update and Licensing updates... but before I could get to it... it all went away and all the 2023 software showed up and the updates were gone.
Now it says... Your available updates are installed. But indeed, I know they are not!!
I can and will have to go to the account and download what I need.
