Autodesk Desktop App - Autodesk Access UI Host installation error

When I try to update or install a software from autodesk desktop app, I got this message every time now and I need to launch the install file manualy

Do you face the same issue if you get your software and updates from your accounts page https://manage.autodesk.com/home/

Worth testing: you always have options to get your subscription software/updates outside of troublesome ADA.

Thanks a lot for posting your question to the forums!

 

In order to fix the issue try the following:

  1. Go to the Windows Services.
    1. Press the Win + R keys on your keyboard. ​​​​​​
    2. Type "services.msc" in the Run window and hit Enter or press OK.
  2. Stop the service "Autodesk Access Service Host".
  3. Go to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AdODIS\V1.
  4. Click on "RemoveODIS.exe" if exists otherwise remove manually all the content in the folder.
  5. Now you should be able to install or uninstall the software with no issues.

Hello,

Thanks for the feedback. I tried as described but then I got the Error3051 asking to download and reinstall AdODIS-

installer.exe but then reinstalling using ADA and got back to the same point. I launch the software update manually and it went through perfectly so it was not software requirment related.
