The SHIFT key is a significant tool that can assist users in enhancing their productivity in AutoCAD. Here, we'll look at some quick hints for using AutoCAD's SHIFT key to speed up your drafting process.

Tip-1

For the Snap Override menu and other context-sensitive screen menus, Shift-right click.

The context menu for snap overrides will appear when pressing this shortcut key combination. While using AutoCAD for design, always use this.

E.g., Draw a line, and then while holding down the Shift-right click, the OSNAP menu will appear for use.

@BhaskarMurari , Shift + right-click is something I use ALL the time. I keep only the endpoint and node selected and shift + right-click everything else.

Thanks bud!

You can select "endpoint" by typing "e" ans then SPACEBAR instead of mousing over and clicking. šŸ™‚

Constantly use this to use "mid between 2 points" one of my favorite snaps!
