There have been a number of reports of this problem and I first saw this
back when I started using ADT2 almost two years ago. There was a post in the
past week or so that seemed the most logical to me that said something to
the effect that on a Network (any) Autocad had to wait longer than it's
program time to check the status of a drawing so it would assume some else
had the drawing. Therefore it is changed to Read-Only. People reporting
this problem have been using Win98, NT4 and any number Network software.
There does not seem to be any common cause except it happens. I've seen it
happen to me for days in a row, 5-6 times a day then not happen for months.
Have Fun,
Ron
