3D Home Architect

By accident, I discovered a program called 3D Home Architect:
http://support.broderbund.com/faq_list.asp?id=1294820640

Usually, I don't waste my time exploring $69.99 dollar Cad programs, but
this time I have decide to take risk:

I work with ADT since 1998. I can do a couple of things with Archicad. I
hate Revit, but can also insert walls, doors, windows, etc. In brief, these
3D parametric programs are familiar to me

After opening 3D Home Architect, I was astonished with it's simplicity. And
it can even do things that ADT is not able to do (skylights, for example).
It has an excellent 3D symbol library. The renders are excellent. And you
can save the files in dwf format and open them in AutoCad.

I hope that Autodesk doesn´t buy it. Otherwise, next year my dealer will
say: forget everything I told about Autoarchitect, Architectural Desktop and
Revit. Now you must move to 3D Home Architect, because it is the future. And
the cross grade will cost you only 1850,00 Euros

no offense, and I don't want to be one of those guys who always says they
found the same thing cheaper someplace....right after you just bought yours,
BUT

today at Costco I saw boxes of some software called "3D Home", and it was
$19.00 American green.

I happen to like the expression "American green". I first saw it in a
letter written to Franklin Roosevelt, President, from a 10 year old Cuban
kid named Fidel Castro. He wrote to Roosevelt that he would show Roosevelt
all the places in the mountains where there is iron if Roosevelt would give
him $10.00 "American green". It is true. I first read the letter in the
Reader's Digest in the 80's, and later, had an opportunity to visit the
National Something Building in Washington D.C., and as I walked through one
of the exhibits, there was Castro's letter to Roosevelt hanging on the wall.

Also, to further rain on your parade, but I am not 100% sure about this, I
think that 3D Home is already an Autodesk product.....if it is not, there is
one of that sort, in that price range that, but I may be confusing the two.

Well Pedro I can almost touch the box that my copy arrived in as I sit here at my desk.
It is version 3, sorry Deluxe 3. It has been gathering dust for some time and I do not use it because of frustration.

Frustration because it is so easy to use.

This is the greatest covert tool the AIA has ever come up with - yes the
American Institute of Architects. It's for all those people who think the 6
years of higher education, a Masters Degree, 2 years of internship, A
professional license exam, thousands of dollars in student loans, and
continuing education teaches architects how to DRAFT.

This way, you to, can be an Architect. For only 69.99 YOU can have all the
secrets of architecture at your finger tips.

yeah, right.

It's only green on the back though... Gray on the front (these newer bills
are interesting though). Hence the preferred name of Greenback. But a 10yo
from Cuba may not have known it back then.

You could have saved even more with INSTANT ARCHITECT and INSTANT ENGINEER
from the same software vendor.

Who needs professionals... lol
