Make it impossible to remove a user who has a license assigned

Currently it is possible to remove a user who has a license assigned, resulting in licenses being stuck "in limbo" - i.e. if you have a total of 10 licenses and remove a user who no longer works for you without unassigning them from the license first, they "take" that license with them and you are left with only 9. This generally requires an intervention from Autodesk support to resync the account and bring the license number back to normal. In some cases it works if you re-add the user and remove them again, but not everyone knows about it and it doesn't always work. It would save novice license managers a lot of trouble if the ability to remove a user was disabled until the user has no licenses assigned. The way it could work would be to have the x ("remove") button greyed out and upon hovering the mouse over it, a tooltip/pop-up message would explain that a user can only be removed after all their licenses have been unassigned first.

The otherway would be to automatically revoke licenses upon removal, but either way would be sufficient.

Hello,

Thank you for letting us know about this issue. We are aware of a bug in Classic User Management where in some cases removing a user does not un-assign the license. This is not the intended behavior, and the team is investigating the issue. If you run into this issue again please contact Autodesk Support and they will be able to help you. We will be moving everyone over to the new user management which does not have this issue, so please stay tuned for any updates.

Thank you,
Emily
