Enable SSO activation only for AutoDesk teams/groups

If you enable single sign-on with Autodesk, all users of the whole domain will be enabled for single sign-on.

This leads to problems for diversified companies with a few thousand users, as there is no central contact person for companies who can provide information about the involved users.

If internal policies prohibit the use of alias accounts, they cannot be used. This is/was the case with our purchasing organizations worldwide. Although they do not use licenses, they must have an account with AutoDesk after the conversion of the order processes.

A personal account is not helpful in this case because of representative regulations.

We had to reverse a change that had already been made (see support case 23215393 of October 21, 2024).

The test environment can still be used for small teams, but this only works up to 30 people

Hi @juergen_klink , thank you for taking the time to submit. Unfortunately your request isn't technically feasible at this time, per our documentation, "SSO is enforced across all products and services - Autodesk Single Sign on is implemented via email domain, not by product, project, or end point, meaning once SSO is enabled user is required to use their company credentials to access Autodesk services. All users belonging to the same organization and domain, even if they are in different teams, will use SSO to sign in."
For your use case, maybe creating subdomains to manage separately is a path forward vs enabling SSO on the top level domain.
