Hello Autodesk Community,
We like the new look and feel of the Autodesk Access app much better than the old Desktop app, it's just still a manual process and we know 90% of our users won't take the time to manually update software. We also would prefer to not allow manual updates to keep everyone on the same versions. So we would like to be able to use it for deploying minor updates (such as the Identity Manager, Licensing Service, etc.) to keep those services up-to-date across all of our domain.
As an example, the Adobe Creative Cloud has a fantastic feature where we can force all Adobe software users in our domain to apply updates to their software, split between major updates and minor updates. We can force all Adobe software to automatically update with all minor patches and security updates without having to micro manage machines or create large software deployments. And we know that the software should smoothly update through their own update software rather than trying to deploy patches.
Is this a feature that either exists in Access, or can be brought to Access? We would like to be able to, on a schedule, keep all of these minor software updates current. However, it would be very useful to have the ability to delay updates for x amount of days (such as waiting 2 weeks to test before deploying to everyone) and to disable any major updates or exclude software (such as do not allow Revit to update, but allow Identity Manager to update).
Thank you for any information you may have on this!
