I understand that your request is regarding changing the dimension style itself, but let me add some additional information in case it would be OK for you to see the correct value in the properties of the dimensions.
1. The UNITS of the drawing have an effect on the "Measurement" attribute of the dimension properties. In the example below the units of the drawing are set to "Decimal" which fits to the dimension value, so the shown value of the dimension "22,98" fits to the properties value "22,9791".

2. In my example I do not agree to "Decimal", open the settings and change the value to "Architectural".

3. This setting does not change the dimension itself, but the "Measurement" value of the dimension properties, which is now shown as 1'-11''.
