Section Box

Need a Section box tool as similar in Revit and Navisworks.

What is section box?

A cubical box, where user can define box length. The objects within the section box only visible to user. The section box should cut the xrefed dwg/nwd or nwc.

Advantage:

While modelling with big building (Xref) and equipments(xref), user can use the section box to model fast with 3d.

This has been a greatly missed feature for our users since migrating over to the Autodesk stack from Microstation. Please implement it!

use sectionplane as command

sorry i mentioned that its not working with Plant 3D objects correctly, because its an autocad command

2022 and still no Plant 3D clipping function. To be honest, this frustrates users, and no one understands what the hold up is.

I can reassure you that there is no clipping box in 2023 Plant 3D.
But there are still too few frustrated users who have voted on the idea station so that it would have popped up during development that there should be a function that is desired by the users.

clipping box is massively useful PDMS and and there systems use this feature all the time! Clip and Xclip are very limited in comparison.

Pl3D 2024 - the same. The clipping box not available. - what is the point to release new versions with changes just very difficult to recognize by normal user and not implement the feature that is really helpful?  Autodesk Software Engineers - common - prove that you can do it!

If anybody managed are you able to share the working zip folder - i don't believe the zip that i downloaded is a working product. Also has anybody come across something that can be purchased as an app?
