I have noticed that when we use specs for valves, instruments etc that has no gaskets or boltsets for example vendor specs and connecting them directly to nozzles it takes the Placeholder connector as per default because it cant find any in the spec for the connected part in this case a valve. An unfortenatley it is stuck in the Placeholder spec and is not changeble to a spec where the right type of gasket and boltset are specified. This gives a chain error when taking out Material Take Offs and also for Isometrics that all of them need to be changed manually after generation.
The solution Autodesk provides today is to add the components to the spec. But if it is a vendor provided spec and it updates now and then, and it is not allways the same gasket and boltset. So this need to be set at each project.
So i would like to see that it is possible to change the spec for the gaket and whatever is used in that connection and not get 100´s of placeholder parts that need to be handled manually.
