P&ID looks up the first matching part in the spec and applies those properties to the object. It does not consider end types when making this choice or other fields on that object. Two valves of same class but with different End Type values in the specification, the first valves values that match the class of object in the specification will be used. This introduces issues when doing a update from spec on a P&ID.
