Make it possible to map properties from Plant 3D P&ID to Forma

Today, there is no native way to map or synchronize object properties and metadata between Plant 3D/P&ID DWG files and Autodesk Forma. While geometry can be shared through various workflows, critical engineering data cannot follow the same path.

Examples of properties we would like to map include:

  1. Status
  2. Version No.
  3. Revision No.
  4. Revision Date

Business Impact due to the missing feature

The lack of property mapping creates several challenges:

  1. Duplicate data entry across platforms
  2. Higher risk of revision mismatches
  3. Manual verification activities
  4. Reduced data quality
  5. Loss of digital continuity from concept design to detailed engineering
  6. In our environment, Plant 3D is often the source of truth for engineering data, while Forma is used for planning, analysis, collaboration, and visualization. Without a property connection, users must manually maintain consistency between systems.

Does anyone knows specifically WHAT Autodesk software packages that CAN fransfer and map properties in Forma?

What I know it can be via the Data Manager from Plant 3D and then export it to Excel sheet. Then upload it to Autodesk Forma.

Or: In Revit, there is a P&ID modeling icon in System tab. From there can also mapping the project.

In fact I didn't use Revit but I always did it  by using the Data Manager.
