Insulation display toggle should display both isulation and pipe.
The show insulation button (on/off) currently toggles between outer jacket insulation cylinder and piping OD cylinder, one or the other. When the insulation is toggled ON, BOTH insulation and piping should be visible. Please correct this. Every one of our users hates seeing just the insulation. Very confusing.
Yes I couldn't agree more. We create our own insulation model (time consuming) overlaying the pipework in a transparent layer which allows the user to see the pipework underneath while in shaded mode.
I agree with all statements. I would like to add one more reason to fixing the issue. CLIENTS. They want to see both pipe and insulation when doing a model review. Using the toggle would be great, if it can produce the look in stp43fan picture. Otherwise it is just confusing like zeke_zikic mentioned. As Lee.chistie stated the work around is good but is time consuming which impacts SCHEDULES and PROJECT COST. Other CAD programs offer the look in stp43fan has shown. I look forward to seeing Autodesk resolving this issue.
