This has also been a huge challenge for us as we often work with Revit teams and in ACC/BIM360. IFC Export would make collaboration substantially less time-consuming for our designers.
Same here. Huge disadvantage for the Revit team (typically civil) not being able to get our plant models into their environment. Problems the other way around as well. I'm not able to make ortho drawings etc without native dwg exports from them.
As Autodesk is pushing for structural engineering toward Revit, and with the ease of creating plan, elevation and section views that automatically update when something is moved, it would be much beneficial to have a tool that allow P3D export to IFC then import in Revit with all the piping properties attached, even better if that integration between both softwares could be done without export/import process. This way ortographic views of the pipe runs could be all done in Revit and tags being added just as you do for structural beams, rooms, ducting, etc.
