Dear Autodesk Support Team,
I am facing an issue in AutoCAD Plant 3D regarding branch routing when the header pipe is in an attached reference file. The Problem: Same File Routing: When both the main pipe (header) and the branch pipe are in the exact same DWG file, the branch connects easily without any issues. XREF Routing: When the main pipe (header) is located within an attached reference file (XREF), Plant 3D does not allow me to take a branch connection from it. It simply fails to connect properly to create the branch. As per our company standards and project specifications, we are strictly not allowed to use Tees or Olets for these connections. We mandate a direct Stub-In connection for all branches. Since we work on large-scale models where piping is split across multiple drawings using XREFs, this limitation is severely impacting our workflow productivity. Could you please guide us on how to successfully achieve a direct Stub-In branch connection from an XREF header pipe.
