Different Pump Connections

When creating equipment, specifically pumps, I'd like to be able to have threaded connections. (or other connections types)

Currently we can only have flanged connections.

As far as I'm aware, all nozzles avialable in the nozzle catalog should be selectable for equipment.

Hi @milan_blom

Try it. You only get flanged connections.

The above link for Plant3d parametric equipment modification.

However since doing that a couple of years ago my workflow has changed. I normally just plantequipmentconvert a pump model that I've downloaded from the supplier, after I've sized the system, and add the connection I'm after, e.g. the following.

The different nozzle styles are added through the Nozzle Catalog, located here "C:\AutoCAD Plant 3D <VERSION> Content\CPak Common\NOZZLE Catalog.acat"

And just look something like this when you're putting them in:

Don't you find that the vendor pump models are quite heavy (file size-wise) in the piping model? Or do you edit them down to a reasonable size? Doing so would seem to add a considerable amount of work.

Equipment manufacturers need to start providing trimmed-down "envelope" (shrinkwrapped) models instead of what we usually get, eg, 43MB full-blown pump files in STEP format.
