Apply Grouping 'Like Items' in Model Before Isometric and BoM Generation

I would like the capability to 'group' items in the piping model so they are sorted and tallied as the same item in material list and BoM.

eg - I have had to create a ball valve showing handle in closed position in the model, when I already have many of the same (like) ball valves in the model. Now when generating isometrics 2 x different rows of the same ball valves showing in the material list when they are actually the same item.

If I understand what you are asking for correctly, you can do this by putting in a value for "item code". It doesn't matter what you put; as long as the value is the same (example "A") the items will group together on your BOM.

I wasn't aware of that function. I ran a test on the example I had and it works perfectly, thank you for notifying me of this.

I guess if I was to leave this idea active, I could add that a suggestion of a pop up window to run when producing Production Isometrics where Part Family Description are exactly the same, as in my case. Pop up window could say - 'like' items are discovered 'would you like to group these items now?'
