OK, I think similar questions have been asked, but I am still in doubt:
I have created a number of valves symbols that are similar to the ones my company has used in the past - these have been added to a custom toolpalet - all seems to work. When I try to add an actuator, valves have the option to be converted to control valves and then picking the actuator you need. I have made custom made actuators, which also match our requirements.
What I can't seem to do is drive the tags from the type of actuator - no matter which actuator I choose, they are always displayed as CV-???. But in real life, you can have a ball valve that is manually actuated, air driven, electro driven, or a control type -
We typically give unique numbers to the valve that distinguish between the actuation type - how can I get plant 3D to do so? Is the correct way using unique actuators, or will I need to create a custom symbol for each valve with its unique actuator?
Thanks in advanced.
