Unable to check in isometric to the cloud

Hi all - this occurs when generating or attempting to check in a generated iso within a BIM 360 project.

Failed to create file in BIM 360 project: xxxxx-P-ISO-005.dwg
JSON API error, Conflict with errors: {409 ERR_CONFLICT The entity id already existed a38ac421-021c-4261-bb16-74279c23de3f }

There is no existing isometric already checked in- therefore we cannot check it out to 'remove' it. It appears to be a stuck entity id. Project Audit-no luck. Has anyone encountered this before? How did you resolve?

Thanks in advance.

The {409 ERR_CONFLICT} error with a locked entity ID happens in AutoCAD Plant 3D when an isometric is manually placed in the cloud project's BIM 360 folder without using the built-in Project Manager, or when cloud cache files become corrupt.

Resolving this stuck ID usually requires fixing the local workspace or re-registering the affected drawing.

To resolve your issue, you can enter here.

"{409 ERR_CONFLICT The entity id existed..." when checking in a drawing in AutoCAD Plant 3D

Error encountered JSON API error, Conflict with errors..." when Check In drawing in an AutoCAD Plant...

Hi Retwan,

I've already reviewed that support article and it does not help me. There is no pre-existing isometric drawing in the cloud, so I cannot download it to remove it.

Can you please explain how to 're-register the affected drawing'?

Thanks

To re-register a drawing in AutoCAD Plant 3D and clear the {409 ERR_CONFLICT} error, you need to detach the drawing from the project’s database, clear any orphaned IDs, and securely re-add it. Since there is no pre-existing file in the cloud to download, you will work directly with your local workspace copy to clear the conflict.

Hi Radwan. If you let me know which of the four dcf files I need to edit locally, and which table - I can check it to see if it contains the orphaned ID. I fail to see even if this were done how it would clear the orphaned ID from the BIM 360 project database. Seems to me like it would only affect the local version, and check in would still not be possible.

@jphillipsRHKQ8

I have no experience with the error you mention and besides the links shared by @Radwan-Almsora I can't give you another cause. But if you wish to see if the .dwg still exists and is registered in the database, you'll need the iso.dcf.

The actual drawings are maintained in the PnPDrawings table. Clearing them from that row will effectively remove them from the database. Be aware however that they might still be referenced in the PnPDrawingCustomProperties table. The PnPDrawingGuid column is used to link the two. I don't think there will be an issue if you only remove a dwg from the drawings table, but the view might still throw a hissy fit if it cannot correctly join drawings with their custom properties.

try it out on a backup first.

EDIT:
I'm sorry, I checked again and see that this workflow will not work for Collaboration projects. Local edits cannot be synched to the cloud 😞

Did you try to manually copy the dwg to the project (without removing it first from the project manager - which you cannot do)?

You can try to remove the local generated iso, close the project and manually remove the entire collaborationcache folder of the project. If you do also run the PnPlocaldatacachepurger
https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Cleaning-temporary...
then open the collaboration project again from ACC, check out a drawing and re-regenerate the iso.dwg before attempting a project wide check-in again.

Did you try a project audit (I assume you did, but didn't see it mentioned here)?

You could try to make a local backup of the project and see if that one gives any issues. if it doesn't, re-upload that project and retire the existing project.
