Tag configuration

Hi together,

I have to re-create some ouf our existing p&ids. In the past they were created via E-Plan. Now we have Plant3D 2022. I'm trying to consider the ISO 10628:2000 but especially the tagging must be analog. Furthermore I have to add more symbols for special valves.

Due to that I'm trying to re-configure the preset ISO tags in the Plant3D. But here I'm struggeling with some points.

The left side is the type of valve/msr tagging what I want to have.

1. I re-configured the tagging for hand valves so that it is fine for me. But when I konvert it to a controlled vale (which are almost all valves in our factory), the existing tag is overrided. Valve no. and 935001 is gone. I don' know how to get it back.

2. I created the RE valve with 3 attachmentpoints for the pipes. But the symbol does not get the valve diameter from the valve for the tagging.

Maybe somebody can help me a bit?

Thank you in advance!

Mathias

Edit you tag format set up as you wish it to display, review each engineering item's tag setup from your PM, see below.

Post screen shots of your set up for review.

Hi,

thank you very much for your answer. I did exactly that to configure the hand valves. This also worked fine, see left valve in my first post :).

However, when I convert the hand valve to an automatic valve, my settings are overwritten, as in the second valve. I can not find the setting for the "CVs".

To my second question. I have once put together three screenshots here. On the left is the block with the "RA" valve and the configured three endpoints.
In the second screenshot (Butterfly valve), the pipe class and nominal size are automatically taken over into the properties of the valve and also displayed as a tag (DN65).
This does not work with my self-created valve, see third image.mathiasbergerMURP9_0-1634191154381.jpeg

Does anyone here know how to fix this? That would make me very happy.

Best regards

Mathias

Hi,

When you convert a valve to a control valve, the valve is re-classified as a control valve and re-tagged using the tag format for the Control Valve class.

For your 3-way valve, the size will be inherited from the lines if they are all assigned the same size, otherwise it will be blank as it has no way to know which size to choose if they are different or undefined.

Regards,

Andy
