Surface Book Issues

I am trying to run plant 3D with a surface book.

I have been trying to use my Surface Book for about a year now and have continual  issue with the program locking up I wonder if anyone has the same issues, for instance when I open two drawings, size does not really matter, my keypad stops working, I can use a command from the icon, or right click and use the menu.  I have the best unit microsoft makes,

I wonder if this is too much for the Surface Book

Any suggestion on configuring it?

Dear @markn,

i use to demo a Microsoft surface 3 pro with windows 10 this is now 2 1/2 years old and makes no problems. I installed both Plant Ultimate Suite 2017 and 2018. With you it seems to be at the hardware to have you already had contact to Microsoft Support?

Thank you for your reply

I have been working with the surface book now for a year and a half. I am
on my 5th surface, I traded in my last one last month because the new
surface had double the memory for the graphic card, hoping that might
help. Well not so far,

Now with the plant 3D 2018 I cant even create an ortho view,

I am sure it is probably me but I have reached out to everyone I can think

Hi @markn,

There was a time that the surface pros weren't compatible with Autodesk products. Now a days, if they're capable of meeting the system requirements for any of the programs, they should be able to run the program without issue. As @h_eger has pointed out, this could be something to do with your particular hardware. Especially since you're capable of activating the on screen icon commands, just not the keyboard commands. If it ends up being decided the hardware isn't the issue, I could gladly troubleshoot further on my end.

I would be very happy if someone would trouble shoot the issue I think
between Microsoft and Autodesk the finger pointing will never stop.
