Stud Bolts - length - bolt mapping

Dear all,

I am trying to define bolt lengths, however I have alway got boltset with different length than I have defined.

Please see the following pictures showing the process.

1) I have defined "Lenght" for "Size" and "Bolt Compatible Standard".

2) Bolt mapping as it can be seen below, Bolt Compatible Standard is same as for the boltset.

But when I create a flange connection the bolt length is 150 mm instead of 145 mm defined in previous steps in catalog.

Could someone help me with this, please.

Thank you

Dear @Anonymous,

Check once how the rounding factor is set in the project configuration.

So and now another thing about special characters in the database.
I am not sure if the links will funkrionieren if in the database special characters are used. Our catalogs are also file-based databases.
Please check in PipeSpec if it works without the special characters "ČSN"

Thank you h.eger for reply.

Right now, I am not using any special character in "Bolt Compatible Standard". I have also changed the rounding factor from 10 to 1. However, some lengths are still different, instead of 145 mm I get 150 mm and so on. The differences are mostly 5 mm, this is not such a big deal. (I think that sw somehow recalculates from inches to mm, then I do not understand the function of mapping and setting up exact length of bolts in catalog...)

Strange values I get when using Blind disc between flanges. I have calculated 135 mm length of bolt for DN 50 flange and set it up in catalog and in mapping. SW uses 119 mm lenght of bolt. Please see the pictures below.

Do you have any idea what to do, please?

Thank you

@Anonymous try changing the ROUNDING UP TO NEAREST value to 5 instead of 1. This may help.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Can you try setting the Rounded parameter as 'false' in the Isoconfig.xml, and see?

Thanks

@Vasu27Sorry mate, don't know why I had missed your reply.

I have changed that to false. Still same result:

@Anonymous

Just a quick check. Are you sure, you made the change in the IsoConfig.xml file within the correct Iso style folder? Because it worked for me.

Thanks

Vasu

Setting it to false does not round it. You need to set it to true.

It actually was True! Doesn't round the lengths though!
