project settings for metric to imperial

I have created a backup copy of my project template and changed it to mixed metric. things seem to be behaving as expected, I can utilize my standard imperial pipe specs while laying all of my equipment and bays out in a true metric fashion. Orthographics are working, however, the isometrics keep failing when I try to run them. I can not figure out if there is a setting I need to change that is buried in some xml file somewhere? I would really hate to have to recreate the isometric settings as this was a huge task to begin with in customizing.
