I'm just curious as to how Matchline values are generated and whether they will detect a UCS and use those values instead? Or is it limited to WCS values?
We have a project setup where our model is located so that a UCS represents the plant coordinates, not the WCS. Hence it would be ideal if the orthographics could detect a UCS being used and apply those Easting and Northing values.
I've tried setting the UCS when drawing the Orthographic View Section and also once the orthographic view is placed, changing the UCS of the viewport. But neither seem to work, it always defaults to the WCS values.
Any suggestions?
Dragging up an old thread here, but searching doesnt seem to show anything newer on the subject.
Why is there not a similar function to the co-ordinate modifier for the ISO section that lets you input your datum and then plant reports back the real world coordinates instead of local datum site coordinates.
Seriously what is the point of showing Eastings and Northings of an arbitrary datum, never mind only being able to report them in mm ... do the programmers even look at what info industry uses or are they that far up there own arses they cant hear the users!
2021 and the issue remains! Let's hope Covid-19 do not learn anything with autodesk....
