Pipe support Catalogs, Metric and Imperial

I want to add some block based Pipe Supports a catalogue for use in metric and mixed metric projects.

Do I have to create imperial and metric blocks to put in each catalogue? I don't really want to duplicate.

Thanks.

No, it is not necessary to create user-defined supports in mm and inches, as you have to decide whether the units are in metric or imperial when creating them in the Speceditor.
However, the supports can be used in both units of the project specification.

So if the Blocks i get are in Imperial put them in Imperial catalouge and Metric in Metric catalouge? I can then use them in any unit project?

So I added custom metric support blocks to the "SUPPORTS Catalog metric.acat" added them to "PipeSupportsMetric" copied pspc, pspx  over to 2 test projects, a "metric" and a "mixed-metric", they don't show on the tool pallets.

If delete the "PipeSupportsSpec" pspc and pspx and rename the "PipeSupportMetric" to "PipeSupportsSpec" etc they don't show.

So what is the point of having "PipeSupportMetric" I understand having to catalogues metric and imperial and adding them to one spec, but Plant only sees "PipeSupportsSpec" so no point adding anything to "PipeSupportMetric" in spec editor.

You can insert parts from different catalogs in your PipeSupport Spec so it works
