Hi.
Have you been able to sort this?
I have a similar problem. I have 2x 24" pipes that have a deviation of 135mm that need to be connected by a miter elbow. Can anyone help?
Thanks

Dear @Anonymous ,
please make the following changes in the DefaultConnectorsConfig.xml file
in the section <Joint Name = "Buttweld">
<SlopeTolerance> 45.0 </SlopeTolerance>
<OffsetTolerance> 45.0 </OffsetTolerance>
Then only draw the individual line segments and as shown in the screencast
<Joint Name="Buttweld">
<FittingElements/>
<JointElements>
<JointElement PartType="Buttweld"/>
</JointElements>
<MatchCondition>E1.NominalDiameter=E2.NominalDiameter</MatchCondition>
<OptionalMatchCondition/>
<EndConditions1>
<EndCondition>BV</EndCondition>
<EndCondition>PL</EndCondition>
</EndConditions1>
<EndConditions2>
<EndCondition>BV</EndCondition>
<EndCondition>PL</EndCondition>
</EndConditions2>
<Description>Stumpf geschweißte Verbindung</Description>

Thanks for your quick reply.
The project manager changed this to a standard elbow, cut to size. Nevertheless I'll try it later this week and let you know if it works for us.
Best regards,
Igor Guerra

The Autodesk development team definitely should implement pipe miter feature...
We have the same problem.

In which standard is it written that a pipe miter is allowed in this angle?
With all ferrite and austenutic pipe materials, pipe miters are allowed up to a maximum of 5 °.
this is my level of knowledge.
For all other standards or rules I would be very grateful to receive them so that we can give the Autodesk developers the necessary information for this function.

I'm sorry but I'm new to the piping business and I don't have that knowledge.

Dear @Anonymous ,
a lot is possible in shipbuilding with diesel engines.
I am familiar with these standards issues.
the exhaust pipe is designed and processed according to good engineering practice.
Today we have to provide the individual proof of such connections to the accepting authority.

Autodesk Plant 3D is the first software I have to work, that doesn't have this feature.
